Disclaimer

Please read this before relying on an estimate. The calculator is a planning tool, not a tax assessment.

General information only

The content and calculations on this website are general information. They do not take into account your personal objectives, financial situation, residency history, deductions, offsets or other circumstances. Nothing on this site is tax, financial, legal or employment advice.

Estimates, not assessments

The calculator produces an annual estimate using published rates and thresholds. Actual tax payable is determined by the Australian Taxation Office based on your complete tax return. Your employerโ€™s PAYG withholding may differ from the estimate, and a refund or debt may arise when you lodge.

Rates and thresholds change

Tax rates, the Medicare levy, HELP thresholds, superannuation rates and contribution caps can change. We aim to keep the 2024โ€“25, 2025โ€“26 and 2026โ€“27 data current, but we do not guarantee that every figure is free from error or up to date at the moment you use the site. Always check the ATO for the current rules.

Not affiliated with the ATO

Salary Calculator Australia is an independent website. It is not operated, endorsed or approved by the Australian Taxation Office, the Australian Government or any superannuation fund.

What the estimate excludes

Unless expressly stated, the calculator does not include salary sacrifice, reportable fringe benefits, novated leases, allowable deductions, private health insurance rebates, Medicare levy surcharge, family income tests, tax offsets other than LITO, foreign income, or study loan balances. It assumes a full-year resident or visa status for the period entered.
